Potential Risks of Integrative Management
While Integrative Management are generally safe, some possible risks include
- ncreased pain at the injection site ( transient get better in 1 to 2 days)
- Infection ( very rare)
- Damage to surrounding nerves or tissues unlikely if US guided Integrative Management treatment used
- Scar tissue formation( rare)
- Calcification at the injection site ( rare)
If you are on blood thinners or anticoagulants (e.g., Aspirin, Plavix, Clopidogrel, Xarelto, Brilinta) for heart or vascular conditions, consult with your provider to determine if these should be paused or continued. Inform our office if you are taking any such medications.

What to Expect During Integrative Management
- Medical History and Initial Checks: Upon arrival, you’ll provide information about your medical history and undergo basic tests like blood pressure measurement.
- Discussion and Consent: Your provider will explain the treatment details and answer any questions unless this was already covered in a previous visit.
- Blood Collection and Preparation: Blood will be drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from other blood components.
- Injection Procedure: The targeted area will be numbed with a topical anesthetic, and the concentrated plasma will be injected into the affected area.
- Duration: The procedure typically lasts about 30 minutes.
